The cheese makers from Appenzell are not as secretive as is always claimed. At the Appenzell Cheese Festival, at least, things are so sociable every time that the event lasts a whole two days. For two days, visitors are offered a varied cheese market with numerous attractions. In addition to "schnöchsle" at the stand, a cheesemaker will demonstrate live how cheese is made in a vat. The entire program will be framed with local musical sounds.
