Lozärner Wiehnachtsmärt auf dem Franziskanerplatz

During Advent, Franziskanerplatz is once again transformed into a small town of colorful wooden houses. In the heart of the small old town, but a little away from the hectic and noisy shopping mile, the Christmas market spreads a unique, contemplative atmosphere. A diverse range of special gift items awaits shoppers at around 70 cozy market stalls.

At the heart of the Christmas market, its trademark, so to speak, is the largest Advent wreath in Central Switzerland, measuring more than three meters in diameter and decorated with hundreds of lights and baubles as well as four meter-high candles.

Whether mulled wine and punch in the traditional mulled wine cup 2023 or the Christmas carousel for the little ones, a visit to the historic Franciscan church, or the live concert on 4 December at 6.00 pm with Eilane Müller, the supporting program of the "Lozärner Wiehnachtsmärt" on Franziskanerplatz offers young and old an unforgettable pre-Christmas experience that no one should miss.
