Den Grundstein für die Autohilfe Nadig GmbH legte Bruno Nadig, als er 1983 die Maltina Garage in Flums kaufte. Siebzehn Jahre später übergab er den Garagenbetrieb seinen beiden Söhnen Franz und Roland Nadig. Nebst dem Garagenbetrieb erhielten die Garagisten ebenfalls Assistance-Aufträge im Pannendienst von diversen Versicherungen. Daraus entwickelte sich ein 24 Stunden Betrieb – sieben Tage die Woche.
