With the cheese festival Lugano cheese-festival appears for the second time in Ticino. On the Mediterranean Piazza Manzoni / Riforma, the great cheese diversity of Ticino and the surrounding regions is celebrated. The focus of the culinary festival is the Ticino Alpine Cheese AOP. Because no other cheese reflects the special characteristics of Ticino like the tasty "formaggio d'alpe ticinesi" AOP, which is produced high above the valleys on the Alps with a lot of "passione & competenza". Mediterranean ambience paired with folkloric sounds and of course fine cheese specialties.
