Combat de Reines at the Foire du Valais

Once the valleys have been cleared of the last of the snow, queen-fighting fever is back in full swing. The fighting season begins at the end of March and culminates in May with the National Finals in Aproz. Every year, several thousand people attend these spectacular fights in an electric atmosphere. June sees the summer transhumance (Inalpe) to the Alpine pastures, where numerous fights also take place. In autumn, the Désalpe marks the return of the cattle to the lowland stables.

Come and watch the Combat de Reine at the Foire du Valais amphitheatre! Tickets will be available from the Fair's ticket office on the day.
