After a year's absence, the 2021 La Fouly Desalpe is announced for Saturday 18 September from 10am to midnight in La Fouly. It will resound to the sound of the bells of the herds of the four Val Ferret mountain pastures, namely those of Mont-Percé, Ars, Peule and Léchère/Plan de la Chaux.
The day will start at 10.00 am with a procession led by Daniel Yule and Delphine Darbellay, the ambassadors of La Fouly, who will be accompanied by young skiers from the Champex-Ferret ski club. This joyful team will precede the big parade of the Val Ferret herds.
From 11:30 a.m., the hot food (raclette, grilled meat) and drink stands will be open. Numerous stands of local crafts and know-how will also be available to visitors.
Throughout the day, the entertainment will follow one another to the rhythm of the brass quartet "Les Bagnolets", the Alpine horn ensemble "Coraccord", demonstrations of woodcarving by William Besse and shows by students of the Gabidou Circus School. Jean-François Lattion, a great lover of Val Ferret, will give a speech to the public. Other surprises are still to come...
At 2.30 p.m., a heifer match with about 20 animals will award the title of "Queen of the Desalpe Heifers".
From 5.30 p.m. onwards, DJ Bapst will keep the young and not so young dancing, perhaps even into the night!
The organising committee of the Désalpe, all members of the Champex-Ferret Ski Club, is pleased to be able to offer a cake stall to the ARFEC (Association Romande des familles d'enfants atteints du cancer) which will be selling cakes for the benefit of sick children. A big tombola will also be organised in favour of the young skiers of our region with many prizes to win. The draw will take place on the day itself in the main tent after the queens' match.
A day that promises to be very beautiful and rich in sharing and meetings!
